Not Just Persevering

Imagine this scene. A handsome man and a beautiful woman, married for twenty-five years, walking on a beach in Hawaii. The moon is full, and the waves crash gently on the beach.

The man says, “After all these years, I still love you passionately. How do you feel about our relationship?”

Appropriation
August 25th, 2011 – Posted by

The spiritual principle of appropriation is vitally important in a relationship with God. I would define appropriation in this way: It is the determined act of receiving. A great scriptural example of appropriation is the woman with the issue of blood. And a woman who had a hemorrhage for twelve years, and could not be healed by anyone, came up

Knowing the Father’s Love
July 30th, 2011 – Posted by

I Peter 2:21 tells us that Jesus Christ is our example. I want to focus on one aspect of His life that should be an example to us: Jesus had a complete and total knowledge of the love of the Father. The greatest example of this is when he was on the cross, and he cried out “My God, why

What is the School of Prophets?
June 27th, 2011 – Posted by

The Shiloh School of Prophets conference begins tomorrow. I’ve attended the conference for the last six or seven years, but will not be able to make it this year. Passover, Pentecost, and the Church
May 4th, 2011 – Posted by

We are in the fifty days between the Biblical celebrations of Passover and Pentecost. In the New Testament, Christ was crucified and resurrected during Passover, and the Holy Spirit fell on Pentecost. This is a very crucial fifty days in the Bible, because it was the time that Jesus Christ appeared to many people in his resurrected form (Acts 1:3). There is an Old Testament picture that shows us what we should have faith for in this.

Grace Chapel and the Tsunami
March 11th, 2011 – Posted by

As we all know, there was a great earthquake that occurred off of the coast of Japan earlier today. The devastation is great, and our prayers are going out to the entire island nation. The earthquake also triggered a tsunami, which hit Hawaii around 3:10 A.M. this morning.

The first thing we did when we heard about the tsunami was call all the congregants who live in the low-lying areas. The tsunami warning sirens here are very loud, so everyone was already aware of the possible disaster. They all packed up and went to stay with others in the church who live on higher ground.

10 Awesome Things About Obedience—Part 4
February 19th, 2011 – Posted by

4. Jesus Christ helps you with your obedience.

Many events of the Old Testament are obvious symbols regarding Christ. One of the great symbolic actions occurred with Moses sprinkling the blood of the sacrifice on the children of Israel as they declared their obedience.
